Don't Feel Worse

When you know a task at hand is going to be hard, your body will preemptively make you feel terrible. This is a two-fold survival mechanism-- On the one hand, if the task isn't mandatory, then you won't do it because you feel terrible. On the other hand, if it is mandatory, then contextually it won't feel as bad once you get started. This won't make it enjoyable, but it will make it less-unenjoyable, which-- contextually-- is the same thing.
